One of my favourite blog authors, Barbara Flaska at Flaskaland sent me a couple of interesting radio related links. The first is a link to this excellent history of Bay Area radio. Nice and comprehensive. Later.
The Bay Area Radio Museum (http://www.bayarearadio.org) has their own history – told in timeline format rather than station-by-station – plus classic audio from SF radio stations, photos, etc.
BARM currently has an excerpt from KYA DJ Johnny Holliday’s book about SF Radio in the 1960’s.
Hope you enjoy excerpts from my autobiography “From Rock to Jock”…to order a copy check out my website….www.jholliday.com good stuff in the book about my days at KYA from April 1965 to November of 1969…and how during those great years…..KYA ruled the Bay Area.
