American V Festival Line-up Announced

The American V Festival set to take place at Baltimore’s Pimlico Race Course on September 23rd, 2006 has announced their line-up. Taking part will be: Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Who, The Killers, The Flaming Lips, The Raconteurs, Gnarls Barkley, Scissor Sisters, Keane, Thievery Corporation, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, New Pornographers, Drive-By Truckers, Kasabian, Brazilian Girls and Wolfmother.

Expect a review of the excellent debut release of Wolfmother sometime soon here on The Rock and Roll Report.

    I can’t even put into words how sad it is to see Townshend and Daltrey dragging their tired old carcasses out on tour again and calling themselves The Who. I hate to say it, but it would be more appropriate at this point if they called themselves The Who-res. All they’re doing now is making a mockery of their considerable accomplishments and their once-proud legacy.
