CD Review: Hockey – Mind Chaos

hockey-mind-chaos-cover 300In this current climate of doom and gloom, we all need a injection of sunshine and happiness.

With Portland based 4 – piece Hockey and their debut album Mind Chaos, you get this, along with lashing’s of infectious hook’s and melody’s.
Combining the classic formula of 70′s Disco with a modern twist of Pop and Indie party anthems, Hockey have produced a extremely catchy and thoroughly enjoyable debut offering.

From the more Rock influenced “Curse this City”, with it’s crunching guitar solo and Funk driven intro, through to the immensely catchy “Song Away”, Hockey offer the listener a mix of song’s that satisfy every aural desire.

They have clearly drawn influences from a wide range of artists, but they have added their own unique sound and have created an album that uplifts your spirit’s, and will have you dancing round your hat soon after you press play.

A great debut.

Check out Hockey on Myspace and on their Official Site.
