CD Review: Jon Lindsday “Escape From Plaza-Midwood”

Judging by his baby face and his preacher’s son background, quirky seems like the last thing you would expect from Jon Lindsay, but that’s exactly the impression you get. His latest album, Escape From Plaza-Midwood, was released August 17th by Chocolate Lab Records and is quirky and magical. The songs blend into each other while remaining distinct and original, making it one of those albums you just want to listen to uninterruptedly from beginning to end.

Born in Portland Oregon, Jon Lindsay now lives in Charlotte, North Carolina. Escape From Plaza-Midwood is his second solo album – he released his first album, Magic Winter & The Dirty South, independently in 2008 – and mixes organ, guitar, piano and smooth vocals with fantasy, creating an enchanting universe of sound. Enjoy!
