According to TMZ, Erykah Badu could face charges for disorderly conduct stemming from her video shoot for “Window Seat”, where she stripped down in Dallas’ Dealey Plaza (yes, the same place where President Kennedy was shot).
TMZ reports, “Cops say a Texas woman lodged the complaint yesterday with police after she and her mother saw Erykah shooting the video completely naked.” However, Badu took to Twitter last night to rebuff the allegations, writing, “No one has pressd charges. All propaganda. Dont believe everything u hear. Fall back soldiers. EveryTING fine.” And according to Rolling Stone, no witnesses of the in-public shoot filed a complaint, though police are “actively asking anyone who saw Badu naked to step forward.”
When we talked to Matt and Kim about their nude “Lessons Learned” video shot in Times Square (which inspired Badu), Kim said, “The most successful part of the day was that nobody got arrested. We just kept saying we were doing a mayonnaise commercial.” The mayonnaise defense– works every time.
A reversed edit of the “Window Seat” video is running on Badu’s site now.
