Lemmy goes rockabilly?

OK, this is a bit bizarre for me. Lemmy, yes that “Ace of Spades” Lemmy Kilmister from Motorhead is in a rockabilly group with Slim Jim Phantom of The Stray Cats (who will be touring this summer) and Danny B. Harvey of the Rockcats and they will be releasing a DVD this spring. They even released an album in 2000 called “Rock ‘n’ Roll Forever.” I think I will have to buy this just to put my curiosity to rest because I just cannot envision Lemmy singing stuff by Jerry Lee Lewis. The other way around perhaps but this is just too weird even for me.

  1. I was shocked when I saw the title of this post, and had to check it out. Well, I listened to some samples on the amazon.com page and it sucks…good idea, bad music.

  2. Jerry Lee Lewis is too dangerous stuff to touch by any singer/performer, but i love that Lemmy gives a try to do things by some of his heroes.
    He is brave!

    Perk

    ps, and it ain´t rockabilly

  3. Due to being a Motorhead fan since the 80’s I’ve owned this CD since it’s release and the songs were no suprise. True it does have to grow on you, and that it does!! It made me dust off my VHS tape of Motorheads appearances on various latenight shows. Each time promoting a new release, but never with songs from the current CD. Always with a 50’s or 60’s cover song. How cool! It’s about time this came out.
    Motorhead Forever!!!
