The Rock and Roll Report is a place to go when you are tired of the same music played over and over on commercial rock radio. Playing great rock and roll from indie and unsigned bands.

Love your Beatle's knowledge. Do you know anything about this 30 second blurb after "Day in the Life" on the Sgt. Pepper CD? Sort of a nonsensical repeating vocal line in a whole tone scale.

Thanks...

Great article, GPG (as always).

I'd just add two more early, over-looked Beatle gems: First, Harrisons' "Do You Want to Know a Secret?" which is so perfect a 60's pop ballad that Geo. must have felt he plucked it straight from the zeitgeist. It took at least a couple albums before The Quiet One found his footing and proved his first major contribution to the Beatle oeuvre wasn't a fluke.

Second, "Every Little Thing." A suberb, musically quirky little number, (not-so) famously covered by British art-prog rockers, YES (who held the Beatle line through their Second Album by chanting "Give Peace a Chance" deep in the track of their buoyant crowd-pleaser, "I've Seen All Good People."

Of course there's tons more. These two just popped into my head. Peace, old buddy!
