Rock Radio 2.0

The Rock and Roll Radio Spotlight is on The Bone Conduction Music Show

The Bone Conduction Show has been an institution on the airwaves for twenty years and is still going strong. Originating from WQKL 107.1 (KOOL 107), Ann Arbor Michigan, on Sundays from 7 to 11 pm EST, it’s also syndicated to over a dozen stations in five states. The show is also available on the net through most if not all of these stations’ websites. Station info, playlists, and a veritable cornucopia of pictorial and textual entertainment can be found at the BCMS website at The show’s mission statement, courtesy of its host and creator, Thayrone, is reprinted below and pretty much says it all!

“The Bone Conduction Music Show is a white hot mega blast of wig singeing Rock & Roll, hip shakin’ Soul music, and industrial strength Rhythm & Blues. It is the music that moves through you like electricity, the music that uses you as lightning rod, the music that causes you to shake your tailfeather. And remember dear friends, if the good Lord didn’t want you to shake your tailfeather, he never would have given you one.

The Bone Conduction Music Show is a labor of love. I created the show in January of 1984, been doing this a looooooong time. I take great pride in presenting music from cutting edge tip of the whip new talent as well as from tried and true reliable veterans that have been in the business since they were knee high to a tube of toothpaste.

One last extremely IMPORTANT thing before I turn you loose:

Radio is on one end of the broadcast spectrum very boring, tightly formatted, repetitious, disposable drivel. On the other end of the spectrum it is often academic, pretentious, politically correct, extremely tedious “culture.” At both ends of the spectrum it would appear that squares rule. I state this without malice, it is just a fact of our times. The Bone Conduction Music Show stands firmly against squares and square radio. Remember, life’s short, let’s rock!”
