Bad to the Bone

A couple of years ago George Thorogood was playing Montreal back to back on a Thursday and Friday night. Because the demand for tickets was so great, they added an extra show at midnight after the previously scheduled Friday night show. I was there and he played like he was fresh off the tour bus. Absolutely incredible! Thorogood is celebrating 30 years in the Biz with a new Greatest Hits and this blurb on him in Rolling Stone features some great quotes but by far the best is: “If Springsteen is the Boss, then I’m the janitor. And a janitor never gets fired.” Amazing to think that at one point in the early eighties Mick Jagger and Keith Richards were thinking of replacing Ron Wood with him in the Rolling Stones. Cool guy.
