So it’s that time of the year again. We are getting confirmations on the bands and schedule for this year’s Canadian Music Week, which will be held from March 2 – 5 all over Toronto.
It’s possibly one of the most confusing time for anyone in this big crazy city to go out to a bar, because every bar has bands playing and there are covers and show for people with wristbands only. And even if you don’t mind paying the extra money, with all of the options, WHERE DO YOU GO? Who will have the best music?
Well I’ve been checking out the roster of bands that have been confirmed so far, and I have to say I am impressed. There are so many great bands playing this year’s show I am almost tempted to say that everyshow will have at least one worthwhile bands if not more.
So people, go out and grab yourself a wristband. They are only $30 at Ticketmaster and you can go to all of the shows, even though that is not physically possible, I don’t think. It is well worth your money to see some of these bands. Espiecially since you would normally spend $5-10 per show to see them all separately. And there is something for everyone.
Here are some of my picks from the list of bands that you show look out for:
Bombs Over Providence
Hedley (I’m not really sure about this one but it might be interesting because it’s that Canadian Idol guy’s band)
The Marble Index
Moka Only (guy who worked with the Swollen Members)
All of the concert dates haven’t been listed yet, so you’ll have to continue to check the Canadian Music Week site for actual concert dates. Or if you are in Toronto pick up an Eye or Now closer to the date.
