In his latest journal entry, which muses on the nature of collaboration, David Byrne revealed that he and St. Vincent‘s Annie Clark have been working on a project together. The “on and off” collaboration, which also involves a brass ensemble, has “no timetable,” and “eight or so” songs are in the works. Watch video of Byrne and St. Vincent performing their new track “Breathing” at Lincoln Center earlier this year here.
Later in the lengthy entry, Byrne also revealed that he’s working with producer Dave Sitek of TV on the Radio, as well as with Petra Haden and Yuka Honda. Read it for more details about his work with St. Vincent, as well as behind-the-scenes info about past projects with Brian Eno, the Talking Heads, and more.
