Today I would like thank A man Of many Talents Shane Knight for taking some time out to do this for us His Fans

Welcome Shane  and before we start I just wanted to say You really do RAWK!!!! Wicked tunz’s

Shaz: What genre of music do you consider your work to be and who are your major influences?Shane: I consider my music to be hard rock and as far as my influences go, I would have to start off by saying the Beatles were my very first rock-n-roll influence as when i first heard them on the radio I had to have a copy of their album. I was 3 at the time.Later on in life i started looking towards other bands such as Led Zeplin,Ted Nugent,The Doors and so on.When Metal hit the music seen it was all about the spandex!!!just kidding lol but bands like Crue,Judas Priest and so on were larger influences to me.

Shaz: How did you start Out in Music  and what was it that inspired you to become the Person  you are today….Shane: Well its kinda cool ya see my mom was an actress and she was dating Brian Wilson of the Beach Boy’s at the time. There was a party at my mom’s house in L.A. and Paul McCartney showed up. I was talking to him about his music and he told me he played base. So after I asked him to sign my album, for Christmas my mom got me a white Gibson Base Guitar.Since then I have been singing and playing base. Inspiring me to write my album”Bad As They Come”.

Shaz: Are you a member of any music organizations?

Shane: As a matter of fact yes I am. BMI and ASCAP

Shaz: What can you tell me about your instruments? (i.e., Are you subject to brand loyalty or will you play with whatever’s available? What made you choose the instruments you have now? Was it cost or was it a style/model/brand/color preference?

Shane: Samick is my instrument of choice as I am sponsored by the company and have been for seven years running.I also play ESP base guitars as well. I choose to play these as they are provided to me at a lower cost and higher quality. My preferred model is the Samick Delta Base, for its playabilty and high end hardware plus it looks Damn Fine!!!!!

Shaz: Where have you performed? What are your favorite and least favorite venues? Do you have any upcoming shows?

Shane: The best place I recall playing is The Galaxy Theater in Santa Anna Ca. Its always great to play a home crowd. As for the least favorite place I have performed was the Gig in Hollywood,Ca as it just really didnt suit my needs. At the current time I am working on a U.S. and U.K. tour in early spring of 2010 My new Booking Guy Daniel Tibbett is being instrumental it getting the show dates and locations set up.

SHANES NEW CDShaz: What Inspires you to write your songs?
Shane: Hot ass women are definitely a strong direction as well as my life experiences. I write from the heart as where most great music should and does come from.

Shaz: Could you briefly describe the music-making process

Shane: Find a good producer!!!!Just kidding that’s later down the road.First thing anyone who wants to write music should do is have it in their body, heart and soul. Then from there make it an extension of themselves , get it on paper ,then on instrument and finally on a record or CD and then find a good studio and producer and go from there.

Shaz: How has your music evolved since you first began playing music

Shane: I would have to say that I pretty much started with early rock and just followed the trends of the rock industry until I found a sound and style that I identified with and made that the very core of the music I write and perform now.

Shaz: What has been your biggest challenge …

Shane: I would have to say it has been relationships, similar to so many bad stories I am sure everyone has heard before ,l to am in the millions of people who have had a large level of adversity in my life.
Shaz: What are your touring and recording plans?

Shane: Well as I briefly mentioned ,I am working on putting together a U.S. tour and then one in the U.K. as well as writing and producing some new stuff.

Shaz: What are your thoughts on rock and roll, and how would you define it?

Shane: Rock music is the living soul of the human spirit where, as rockers we defy the very things that otherwise hold us as a species back. It’s an empowerment of the human spirit to live in the here and now and not worry ourselves with whats ahead of us or whats been left behind.

Shaz: What is life like as a musician in the age of the Internet?

Shane: Wow  man, It’s an opportunity to reach billions of people from the comfort of an office or sitting at home jamming with friends and discovering a sound ya like so much that ya want to share it with the whole world.
Shaz: Which of your songs are you most proud of and why?
Shane: I cant really pick any one over the other as I am proud of all of them.

Shaz: and last of all Shane ….What is the most way out thing that has ever happened to you while playing a gig or on the road…….
Shane: Hmmmm, I would have to say meeting the members of Led Zeppelin in person at a band practice where I was doing a rehearsal when Robert Plant was at the same studio and heard us playing. I remember seeing a tall long haired guy walking in and remember thinking to myself,”Wow that’s Robert Plant”.I was so jacked up when he told me he heard us in the other section of the studio and told us how good we sounded I was beside myself.

Shaz: Is there anything else you would like to add that we your fans would be keen to know about ?
Shane: Yes my favorite color is Black,my favorite food is Baked potato’s and All of you out there ROCK!!!!!

Thank you Shane  this has been so awesome …..And thank you as well !!!!!!
