Over the last couple of months I have come to the conclusion that there is so much great rock and roll out there that I alone can not possibly keep up with it all. Whether it be the rock and roll scene in Greece, Thailand, Montreal, Paris or the American Mid-West, the only way that The Rock and Roll Report can grow and cover all this great stuff is by getting more of you involved in putting it together. To that end I am pleased to introduce Rock and Roll Wayne as our second contributor to The Rock and Roll Report (after Jeremy Hartley from The Darlings of Bangkok, Thailand) and who better to make his introduction than the man himself:
I’ve been playing rock and roll for almost thirty years and have enjoyed some modest success as a songwriter and producer. While I’ve had a lot of fun doing it, like most musicians I’ve found fame, fabulous wealth, and all the attendant perks (limos, entourages, and, thankfully, ruinous paternity suits) to be as elusive as the Loch Ness monster. I’ve also been involved in various aspects of the music scene from writing blues reviews to assisting in the promotion and organization of various club shows and festivals over the years. I’m by no means an expert on the music industry, but I know a little about a lot of things and I’m grateful for the opportunity Mark has given me to provide the occasional insight for The Rock and Roll Report.
Welcome aboard Rock and Roll Wayne and thanks. If you want to contribute to The Rock and Roll Report just e-mail me and we’ll get the ball rolling. With new software and hopefully a new look in the near future, The Rock and Roll Report will be better set up to involve more people in what will hopefully be a prime destination for fans of niche-free rock and roll from all over the world.
