For those of you who have been wondering what has been up with The Rock and Roll Report lately, the simple answer has been that unholy enemy of the part-time blogger: lack of time. The summer seems to have put a real damper on the time I have been able to spend on the site what with holidays, a new day job and generally life in general. As I pondered over the state of the site, my first inkling was to shut it down or sell it since my enthusiasm seemed to be at its nadir but then I realized that that was only because I was so busy with other non-rock and roll things and I didn’t really want to see the site die, or worse yet become a mere repository for other people’s press releases. So I have decided on a new plan of attack that will hopefully keep things fresh for both of us. I will continue to highlight all the great rock and roll available today from indie musicians around the world as well as the amazing amount of rock and roll record labels, radio shows and reading material both in print and on the web that is out there, but I will be doing it in less posts but hopefully containing more cool stuff per post. Instead of my trying to post 5 times a day, I might only post once or twice but hopefully the quality will be higher than it has been in the recent past. And if you were ever thinking of contributing to the site, now would be a great time to do so so don’t hesitate to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org to get you going.
As I start to shake the cobwebs from my computer keyboard and start cranking the tunes on the stereo again, I hope you will continue to find The Rock and Roll Report a great place to start your rock and roll journey. It will be a trip. Thanks for reading.
